Matilda Larsen Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 10, 1992 at United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the United Lutheran Cemetery 4 miles north of Hampton. OBITUARY: Matilda Larsen Matilda Anna Larsen, the daughter of John and Anna (Christiansen) Jorgensen, was born at Bradshaw, Nebraska, on May 23, 1900, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 8, 1992, at the age of 92 years, 1 month, and 15 days. She grew up in the Bradshaw area and attended country school. She lived with her parents and helped with the family, and worked at Aurora, Central City, and Colorado. On Jun 15, 1923, she was united in marriage to Ervin Walter Larsen, at the Hampton Danish Church. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1974. They farmed at 2 different farms north of Hampton, and she continued to live on the farm until she was hospitalized in June of this year. Matilda was a member of the Hampton United Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Hans, Robert, and Emmanuel Jorgensen, and 2 grandchildren. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Norman of York, Melvin of Springfield, Illinois, and Eugene of Omaha; one sister Hilda Wert of Hampton; 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
