Obituary Notice from Wyoming Tribune-Eagle (Cheyenne, WY) - August 5, 2002 Deceased Name: Michele C. Marquez 1946-2002 Michele Carole Marquez, 56, of Pine Bluffs died July 30 at United Medical Center-West. She was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Ogallala, Neb., and had lived in Pine Bluffs for 51 years. Mrs. Marquez was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Roberto Marquez of Pine Bluffs; 10 children, Lori Garcia, Rosa Lee Garcia, Elvin F. Helms Jr., Ramons Helms, Frances Helms and Jane Saavedra, all of Pine Bluffs, Russell Marquez of Cheyenne, Adam Marquez of Fort Riley, Kan., and Maresa Marquez and Danille Adams, both of Pine Bluffs; a brother, George Rice Jr. of Cheyenne; two sisters, Leigh Cerenil of Pine Bluffs and Kathryn Moore of Nevada; and 20 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Wade Helms; her parents, George and Rose Ann Rice; and a sister, Frances Briggs. Vigil for the Deceased will be at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Rev. Hugo Blotsky as the celebrant. Interment will be in Pine Bluffs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Marquez, Adam Marquez, Refugio Cerenil, Odilion Cerenil, Felipe Helms and Kraig Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Elvin Helms, Rosendo Saavedra and David Garcia. Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society. Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
