Selma Carlson Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 23, 1987 at the Mamre Evangelical Free Church. Interment was held in the Mamre Cemetery. OBITUARY: Selma Carlson Selma Carlson, the daughter of John and Ida Nelson Lindquist, was born September 17, 1899, at Jonah, Texas, and passed away October 20, 1987 at Aurora, Nebraska, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 3 days. She grew up and attended school in Texas. On August 2, 1921 she was united in marriage to Carl Stanley Carlson at Colorado Springs, Colorado. They lived and farmed at the Carlson family farm all of their married life. Her husband preceded her in death on April 3, 1978. Selma was a faithful member of Mamre Evangelical Free Church, and had devoted her life to activities and functions of the church. She had taught Sunday School for many years as well as voluntarily serving in many other capacities. Those who preceded her in death were her parents, her husband, 1 son, Stanley, Jr., 1 daughter Yvonne Ryan, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Leona Weyers of Lincoln; 1 brother, Arthur Lindquist of Clearwater, Florida; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
