Melba Street Christiansen passed away on March 11, 2009 in the same house she was born in 88 years ago. She resided at 889 East 900 North in Lehi, Utah at the time of her death. Melba was born November 25, 1920 to John and Martha Ann Whimpey Street. She was the youngest of 13 children. Melba was a very devoted wife and mother, she and Ned, whom she has missed dearly, were always together and loved to go to The Ranch in Ibapah. She loved her family, they were the light of her life. Every Sunday evening was family time at her home. She always made sure everyone was fed, whether it was candy from her famous candy bowl, or root beer floats, everyone enjoyed spending time at grandma's. Melba loved everyone who crossed her doorstep, she had a passion for people. She is now living a grand reunion with her husband of 61 years, her parents, her 12 brothers and sisters, and one great-granddaughter, who all preceded her in death. She is survived by her five children, Gene (Robyn) Christiansen, Sandy; Colleen (Doug) Hawkins, Lehi; Jay (Joan) Christiansen, Lehi; Shirley (Allen) Gray, Lindon; and Jolene (Scott) Sherwood, Highland; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grand-children and two great-great-grand children.
