Bio

Catherine Collings was born in 1800, in Spencer, Montgomery Co., Kentucky. Her father, Thomas Franklin Collings, was 40 and her mother, Drucilla Margaret Kinnett, was 35. She married Thomas Hughbanks about 1817. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. She was divorced from Hughbanks 23 Jul 1827 in Scott County She married Elijah Bess in 1829. They had 6 children--5 daughters and 1 son. Bess died in 1854. In 1862 she married Joseph Bohall in Jackson County where they lived in Grassy Fork Township, Jackson, Indiana, until her death on 27 December 1869, in Crothersville, Vernon Township, Jackson Co., Indiana, at the age of 69, and was buried in Grassy Cemetery near Retreat in Jackson Co., Indiana.
