The York Daily News-Times, Saturday, September 14, 1957 George H. Rempel Dies at Henderson George H. Rempel, 64, Henderson, lifelong resident of York County, died at 2:50 a.m. today at his home after several years illness. He was born on a farm north east of Henderson on December 27, 1892. On March 31, 1918 he was married to Kathrena Ratzlaff of near Bradshaw. the couple set up housekeeping on a farm in the Henderson community and about 23 years ago Mr. Rempel established a cream station in Henderson. After about eight years his health forced him to give up the station. Surviving besides his wife are two sons. George of Longmont, Colo, and Henry of Sutton; one daughter Mary now Mrs. Bob Nickels of York; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sara Mierau of Henderson and Mrs. Katherna Regier of Grand Island. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral service will be at 2 p./m. Monday at the Bethesda Church in Henderson. The Rev, John Gaeddert will officiate. Burial will be in Henderson. The body is at Metz Mortuary.
