Bio
She was the wife of Claude Blackwell Rather and the daughter of James Henry Lee Wesley and Abigail Chyl (Leath) Henderson Wesley. Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Rather, 69, widow of the late Dr. C.B. Rather, who died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Garrett in Dallas, were held Sunday at 3 o'clock at the Baptist Church in Bullard. Burial was in the Bullard cemetery. Surviving are three sons, Hewitt Rather of Port Arthur, Rupert Rather of Dallas, and Joe Rather of Malakoff; one other daughter, Mrs. Nita Brock of Port Neches; one brother, George Wesley of Tyler; and two sisters, Mrs. Sally Morgan of Tyler and Mrs. Nannie Spence of Alpine.
