From the Frankston Citizen March 11, 1993. Funeral services for Joseph Frank Kriz, 69, of Tyler, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the Elliott Memorial Chapel of the Boren-Conner Funeral Home of Bullard with the Rev. Bud Dunn and Dale Moran officiating. Burial was in the Bullard City Cemetery. Mr. Kriz died Friday night, March 5, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born June 2, 1923 in Hemingford, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. NAvy during World War II as a fighter pilot in the Japanese theater. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked for R.W. Schambach Revivals and was a member of the Independent Pentacostal Church. Survivors include his wifr of 49 years, Alverna Kriz of Tyler; one sister, Eileen Tscharner of Rapid City, S.D.; one brother, Leo Kriz of Hemingford, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Bruce Schambach, Bob Schambach, Joe Rutherford, Bruce Ketchum, Daniel Moran and Nathaniel Moran.
