Services for John Riley Hill, age 92, of Lawrenceburg, TN will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Thomas Hill and Ed Lopp officiating. Burial will follow in the Fishtrap Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements. He was born February 23, 1916 in Wayne County, Tennessee to the late Walter and Jenny Brown Hill. Mr. Hill departed this life on July 19, 2008 at his home near Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 4 Months, 26 Days. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Mr. Hill was a factory worker. He is survived by his wife Lillie Mae (Ray) Hill of Lawrenceburg, TN; five sons, Thomas R. Hill, Bobby R. Hill, Louis R. Hill, Willie P. Hill, David E. Hill all of Lawrenceburg, TN; three daughters, Bertie M. McGee, of Lawrenceburg, TN; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 7 step great-grandchildren.
