MARLOW REVIEW Jan 2, 2003 Livelong Marlow resident Ben Ivan Ritter,71, passed away Thursday Dec 12, 2002 at Duncan Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec 17, at Glory Bound Church with the Rev Daivd Woods officiating. Burial was held in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smth-Cobb Funeral Home. Born Sept 3, 1931 to Ben Issaac and Elva (Stinett) Ritter in Waynoka, he had lived in Marlow all of his life. Ritter retired from the Marlow Fire Department after 17 years of service, he was of silent unity and loved taking care of his dogs. In Nov 1972, he married Margaret Ritter in Clayton NM and she preceded him in death on July 22, 1994. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ivan Dale Ritter; and several brothers. Survivors include a brother Bobby Merle Ritter of Bray; two sisters Leota Holt and Clarice Morris both of Marlow; six grandchiuldren; several great-grandchildren; and several nephews. Serving as pallbearers were Ben Ivan Ritter; Robert Garrettson; J R Shahan; Jerry Brown; Glen Morris; Wayne Morris;and Darrell Morris.
