GOLIAD - Wilbur J. Kallus, 78, of Goliad, died Feb. 23, 2009 in Victoria. Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Father Ralph Baidoo officiated. Interment was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Kallus was born April 16, 1930, in Runge, to Ernest and Helen (Baresh) Kallus. He came from the Schulenburg area and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mr. Kallus was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Kallus; sister, Mary Ann Shelton; and daughter, Carolyn Jane Kallus. Survivors include his children's mother, Betty J. Kallus; sons, Stephen and Kathy Kallus, Tommy and Crystal Kallus, Eric and Kolleen Kallus; daughters, Susan and Tony Bell, Judy and Andy Dunn, and Margaret and Jeff Parsons; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Bryan McAdams, Jason McAdams, Cameron Dunn, Jeremy Dunn, Tommy Kallus, Stephen Kallus, Eric Kallus, and Ross Parsons. Memorials may be made to Christ Kitchen in Victoria or A.A. Arrangements entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Goliad ~ Linda Dooley arranging director.
