BOONEVILLE - Ray Eugene Frederick, 79, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at his home after a sudden illness. He was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church. He was employed with Cobra Kubota of Booneville until his recent illness. He was a former employee of Brown Shoe company for 29 years and FMC for seven years. He was a former employee of McMillan Funeral Home and Waters Funeral Home. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Hall and Bro. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Becky Crawford (Kimble) of Dry Creek; two sons, Sammy Ray Frederick of Booneville and Benny Dale Frederick (Cathy) of Wheeler; one daughter-in-law, Dianne Frederick of Fulton; six grandchildren, Danny Frederick, Michele Frederick Roberts, Danielle Frederick, Abby Frederick, Trevor Frederick and Mary Carol Crawford; one great-grandchild, Danni Lynn Frederick; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kaleb Roberts and Danielle Roberts; special extended family, Danny Green (Gloria) of Southaven, Jimmy Green (Margaret) and family of Tupelo, Kelly Green (Carrie) and children of Southaven, and Kimberly Wood (Phil) and children of Southaven; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Amanda Horton Frederick; his wife, Mary Charlene Calvery Frederick; one son, Freddy Frederick; a very special friend, Reba Green; and five sisters and two brothers. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Robby Kelly, Keith Kelly, Kerry Kelly, Kent Dees, Ronnie Guin, Ricky Guin and Randy Calvery. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Lindsey, Eric Nanney, Bill Woodruff, Richard Woodruff, B.B. Wilson, David Wheatley, Scotty Enis, Lee Swinney, Mitchell Garner, Matt Garner, David Coats, Brad Rickey, Dick McMillan and Gary Davis. Visitation will continue until service time today.
