Bio

H. C. HARDCASTLE H. C. Hardcastle, 71, died at Purcell on Sunday, Aug 8. Graveside services for the Purcell resident were held today, Aug 10 in Washington Cemetery with Gerald Wells officiating. The son of James and Alta Hardcastle, he was born in Hagarville, Ark., on Sep 23, 1922. In 1929 he moved to Washington where he attended school. A veteran, Mr. Hardcastle was trained as a cook and baker during his military service. He later worked as a cook at Veterans Administration Hospital. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Alta, one brother and three sisters, Mr. Hardcastle is survived by two sisters, Arona Fore and Pauline, both of Washington, his brother, Bobby of Moore and several nieces and nephews.
