Services for Mrs. C.H. Parker were held in the First Christian Church. She attended North Texas Normal College and Texas Woman's University before marrying C.H. Parker on 26 June 1907 in Denton. The couple moved to Wichita Falls in 1908. The moved to Leedy, Oklahoma and for several years lived in a tent. They returned to Wichita Falls in 1918. For 15 years, Mrs. Parker served on the board of Juliette Fowler Home for children and the elderly. She served on the board of the First Christian Church for 30 years, she was deacon emeritus. She had served on the Board of Managers of the United Christian Missionary Society. She was a life member of the Young Women's Christian Association and board. She had been member of the Standard Club, Alpha Story Club, and League of Women Voters. For many years, she was a familiar figure at auctions and garage sales where she pursued her hobby of helping others. Buying used clothes and household items, Mrs. Parker would take them home, refinish the furniture, mend and clean the clothes and anonymously give it to those in need. Survived by her husband; one daughter - Mrs. Henry Penix; one son - C.H., Jr; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sons - Garnett, Robert and Jack.
