Opal "Memaw" Harris, 94, of Kerens passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Kerens Care Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Paschal Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wes Johnson and Chris Kenner officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bert Kilcrease, Kenny Kilcrease, Andy Sessions, Dan Smith, Dave Commiato, Jim Wells, Don Barnes and Coit Harris. She was born March 17, 1908 in Peacevalley, Mo. She was a weaver for many years at the Corsicana Cotton Mill. She was a sales lady for Studio Cosmetics and a nurses aid at Pauline's Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, E.Y. Hawkins, and second husband, Lawrence Harris; a grandson, Kenny Kenner; sisters, Edith Foster and Ella Smith; and brothers, Ernest, Shelby, Fred and Wayne Lynch. She is survived by daughters, Joan Kilcrease and son-in-law, Kenneth Kilcrease of Kerens; Darla Sumners of Seagoville; and son Orrie Harris and daughter-in-law, Mary Lu, of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Candy and Jim Wells, Chris and Glenna Kenner, all of Palestine, Kathy and Dave Commiato, Bert and Carolyn Kilcrease, all of Kerens, Kenny and Blaca Kilcrease of Rockdale; Lu Lane Wiley, Coit and Melanie Harris of Chico, Robin and Don Barnes, Jay and Neysa Harris, all of Decatur, Tanya and Mical Campbell of Seagoville and Stephanie and Jefferson Santos of Plano; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
