Bio

St. George, UT - In loving memory of Joseph Woodrow Brown, 94 years of age, who left this earth to join his parents and siblings on January 13, 2009. Woodrow was born October 14, 1914 in Blanding, Utah. He married Elizabeth (Beth) Martineau in the Manti Temple, February 28, 1942. Woodrow was called to serve in the army in the South Pacific during World War II. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has held various church positions during his life. Woodrow farmed the Hurricane Valley for 30 years. Woodrow has preceeded his wife, Beth, of sixty-six years; Josie (Clair) Smith; Evan (Vivian) Brown; Eldon Brown; Mindy (Jack) Sullivan; LaRue Pearce; Vernie (Brad) Burner; Janette (Russ) Van Leer. He had thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Hurricane LDS 9th Ward ( Red Brick) Chapel, Hurricane, Utah. Interment will be at the Hurricane City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
