Evelyn Eugenia Flurry was the daughter of James J. and Sarah Turner Flurry. Her siblings were Mary Elizabeth; Susan A.; Seleta Ann; Sarah Louveana; Margaret Alice; James "Jim" Henry; William Cephas; Bertha Josephine; Ella Isabelle; and Rosa Esther Flurry. Evelyne married Joseph Bernice Smith about 1884 in Biloxi, MS. They soon made their home in Louisiana where their 12 children were all born. There children were; Arena "Rena" Martha; Cephas Anson; Wiley Albert; George Ganel; Lavonia Eveline; Ethel Esther; Maude Madonia; Verda Louise; Daisy; John "Jack" Cannon; Margie Inez; and Paul Smith.
