Bio

Rose J. Kucera, age 88, of Versailles, passed away Monday evening, December 1, 2003 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born March 29, 1915 in Butler County, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Mary Shonka Virel. She was united in marriage on February 15, 1938 with Joe Kucera Sr. who preceded her in death on September 23, 1984. She is survived by one son, Joe Kucera Jr. of Versailles, Missouri; two daughters, Mary A. Nemec of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Alice Horn of Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one nephew. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy Kucera and Larry Kucera. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Versailles Cemetery.
