Bio

On the day of his death, he traveled from his home twelve miles south of Meridian, Miss., to the courthouse where he claimed his quarterly Confederate pension. As he was leaving the courthouse, he dropped dead on the courthouse steps. He was survived by his four children. James F. Webb Funeral Home in Meridian was in charge of arrangements.
