Bio

James B. Sheltman passed on 2-6-09 surrounded by his loving family. He was born 83 years ago to James and Lena Sheltman in Decatur, TX. He was very proud of serving his country, joining the U.S. Navy at age 17, honorably serving 3 yrs. in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. He retired from OK Natural Gas after 38 yrs. of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty of 60 yrs., daughter, Karen Jacobson, and brother, Melvin. He is survived by daughters Janice Edwards, husband Robert, and Denise Robinson, husband, Jim son-in-law, Stan Jacobson grandchildren, Heath Jacobson, wife Yvonne David Cottrell, wife Katrina Angie Boswell, husband Neal Andrea Jacobson Jennifer Robinson Chris Robinson, wife Aimee great grandchildren, Sierra Cottrell, Olivia Jacobson, and Chase Boswell sister Adell Wood sisters-in-law, Dorothy Burt, husband Roy, Danet Trivette, husband John, and Ruth Sheltman. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Linwood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 76507, OKC 73108, or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Services: Guardian West Chapel with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
