Bio

Son of William B & Maggie [Margaret Forsythe] Bridges. On October 10,1851,he married Sarah J Sturgeon, she died in Feb 18, 1908 James was a Baptist, a liberal, and the last charter member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The children who attended the funeral besides Mrs Wear were; Dr W T Bridges of Stonington Mrs Minnie Vav Schoick of Bloomington Isaac Bridges of Mahomet Eugene Bridges of Mahomet Edward Bridges Nebraska John Bridges of Newbraska Mrs Ida Smith There was one brother living , Elder George T Bridges of Brownstown. Burial was in Mt Pleasant Cem [obits] They were parents of; Mary Ellen Bridges, Clarence Bridges, Margaret S Bridges, Dr. William T Bridges, Minnie Bridges, Isaac T Bridges, Eugene H Bridges, John T Bridges, Edward F Bridges, Ida V Bridges. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.[Mary Ellen] T.C.Wear in Carson Twp, Fayette Co., Ill.
