Dennington, Childress CHILDRESS, Texas - Octie Dennington, 76, of Panhandle, Texas, died Thursday in an Amarillo hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Fairview Church of Christ with Mike Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland, Texas, Cemetery under the direction of Schooler-Gordon Funeral Home. She was born on Oct. 16, 1913, in Kirkland. She had lived in Panhandle for 27 years. She and Alvis Dennington were married in Childress in 1934. She was a teacher for 44 years and was a graduate of West Texas State College and East Texas State College. She was a Church of Christ member. Survivors include her husband.
