Lillie was the daughter of Volney E. & Martha J. (Hayden) Swaim. She married David Earl Wethington 01 Mar 1891 in Marion County, IL. Obituary: MRS. WETHINGTON, 86, DIES SATURDAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS Mrs. Lillie Lavenia Wethington, 86, of 721 N. Poplar St., died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Donoho Prairie Church with the Rev. Dewey Hawkins officiating. Mrs. Wethington was born Nov. 6, 1867, a daughter of Volney and Martha Jane Swaim, pioneers of Marion County. She was married to D. L. Wethington in 1891. He died three years ago. Mrs. Wethington had been a member of the Christian Church for many years. She is survived by two sons, Everett of Centralia and Ermine of Champaign; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a brother, C. A. Swaim, Mt. Vernon. A daughter, Ethel, preceded her in death.
