Baby boy Wyncoop was born on 22 Apr 1888 in Boone County, to Harry and Amanda (Parish) Wyncoop. [Indiana WPA Birth Index] ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ On 27 Apr 1942, Clark Monroe Wynkoop was 54 years old and residing on Route 2 in Coffeywille, Labette County, Kansas. He was born on 22 Apr 1888 in Lebanon, Indiana, and was self-employed in Labette County. His contact person was Agatha Engels of R.R. 4 in Coffeyville. He was white with a dark brown complexion, 6' 2" tall, weighed 235 pounds, and had brown eyes and brown hair. Burial will be in Merced District Cemetery. Mr. Wynkoop had retired 12 years ago from duties as a boiler fireman at Castle Air Force Base. He had resided at 294 _5 Beachwood Drive. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lee Meyers of Merced and Mrs. Gatha Engle of Washington; two brothers, James of Oklahoma and Rush Wynkoop of Arkansas; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins and Mrs. Mabel Sproul, both of Oklahoma, and Mrs. Ethel Elks of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and three grandchildren.
