Burcham Married Jan 13, 1945 Children: Johnny David 12/6/1935 Eddie Earl 5/31/1948 Sarrah Dianne 7/25/1950 Jeannie Rose 7/25/1953 Joseph Wayne 11/12/1955 RIENZI - James David Price, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at his home. He was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Iuka to Earl and Susie Bonds Price. He served his country honorably, first as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II and later in Company H 155th Infantry in the National Guard until 1951. He retired from Tyrone Hydraulic. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the American Legion. Greatly loved by all who knew him, he always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed being around and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Dillingham and the Rev. Charles Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Burcham Cemetery at Rienzi. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Clara Burcham Price; three sons, Johnny Price of Corinth, Eddie Price (Joy) of Rienzi and Joe Price of Independence; an unofficial adopted son, Gary "Dave" Davidson (Debbie) of Laurel Hill, Fla.; two daughters, Diane Houston (Mark) and Jeannie LaFevers (Larry) of Rienzi; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Price of Glen; two brothers, Sid Price (Joyce) and Jim Price of Corinth; two sisters, Reba Sacks (Nick) of Dallas, Texas, and Shirley Dees (Brooks) of Kossuth; 15 grandchildren, David Earl Price, Lowanda Laier, Georgianna Chase, Eric Price, Fran Ashcraft, Brady Cunningham, Wesley Price, Andrew Price, Candi Shelburne, Stephanie Mathis, Levi Houston, Melody Strickland, Chad Bragg, Dusty Price and Kayla Price Shipman; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his parents-in-law, Eva and Clyde Burcham; a sister, Christine Featherstone; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Price. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his running buddies, James Earl White, J.O. Pratt and P.Q. Jones.
