Son of Thomas and Rebecca Malinda Aker/Acor Brownlow. Wife of Drusilla Cofer Published in the Athens Review October 31, 1940 J.H. Brownlow, 71, veteran citizen of the county, died at the family home in Walnut Creek community on Sunday morning. His death was due to apoplexy and followed a long illness. Funeral services were held at Walnut Creek Church at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon with Rev. C.A. West, former Methodist pastor conducting the services. Born in Tennessee, deceased had been a resident of the Walnut Creek community for the past forty years. He is survived by his widow and two sons and two daughters; J.R. Brownlow of Houston and L.R. Brownlow of Corpus Christi, Mrs. O. Studdard of Athens and Mrs. Carl Brown of Dallas; two brothers, W.L. and L.E. Brownlow also survive.
