His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, June 21, 1901. William H. Amos died at the home of his son-in-law, James H. Dickerson, at Gypsum, Kansas, Monday, June 10, 1901, aged 73, years, 7 months, and 16 days. Mr. Amos was the father of Mrs. John Moody of Carrollton and visited here last year. He was a native of Perry Township and moved to Kansas in the early 70's and grew up with the state. He was a well read gentleman and a democrat firm in the faith.
