Printed in the Times Post, Houston, Mississippi dated May 29 1958 Mrs. Doyle House Dies Suddenly Mrs. Doyle Leland House, 36-year-old mother of two small children, who was a registered nurse, died unexpectedly at 2 pm, Thursday, May 22, following an emergency operation at the Houston Hospital. Earlier in the Week she had worked all day long checking pre-school children, who were taking physical examinations. Heart rending services were conducted Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Houston Baptist Church, with the Rev. J F Hartley and the Rev. W A Robinson officiating. A quartet composed of Robert Atkinson, W S Smith, III, Aaron Harrington and Basco Streeter, sang, and the choir of the Baptist Church sang, "God Will Take Care of You." It was the first funeral service in the new Houston Baptist Church sanctuary. Beautiful floral offerings attested to the high esteem in which Mrs. House was held in this community. Interment was in the Houston Cemetery with Houston Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were: John Brand, R V Taylor, Ralph Hollingsworth, Jake Kendall, Rad Walters, Ray Harrington, Millard Gill and Tommy Dalton.
