Bio

The Cameron Herald January 27, 2009 Johec Anton W. Jochec, 86 of the Marak community died Sunday, Jan. 25, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Marak with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial will follow in the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Mr. Jochec, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 24, 1922 in Marak to John and Alvina (Marak) Jochec. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Survivors include his sister, Angeline Kostroun of Jourdanton, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
