Martha Ava Weldon, called Avery, and Phillip LaCaze, called Felo, were married on November 30, 1899 in the house of her widowed mother Amanda Mandance Jordan Weldon, by Justice of the Peace Dr. L.P. Harper, brother-in-law to Phillip. Felo and Avery owned land and established a home near Fullerton, Louisiana. They sold that property and obtained land (80 acres)in actuality it was 92 acres due to some excess in Original U.S. Survey. This place was 2 1/2 miles west of Pitkin, Louisiana. To Felo and Avery were born ten children who survived and two infants who died at birth. 1. John Phillip was born February 4, 1901 2. An unnamed premature infant on December 12, 1901 3. James Monroe was born January 9, 1903 4. Jacob Volery on February 15, 1904 5. Charles Ivry (Ike) on June 2, 1905 6. Avery Euneiciae (Neecy) on January 25, 1907 7. Ervin Kirk on April 13, 1909 8. Amanda Alma on December 9, 1913 9. Simeon(Simmie)Housewell on April 1, 1915 10.Annabell on November 20, 1917 11.Edgar Leroy on January 12, 1920 12.An infant born and died on February 8, 1922. Avery did not recover from this childs' birth and passed away February 14, 1922. Referenced from: Stephen C.
