Born in Zelechovice, House #141, Zlin, Moravia to Jan (John) and Anna Bedrich Elsik. Married to Rozina Ozymy Vrzalik 21 December 1896 in Ellis County. Several discrepancies for year of birth including a documented year of 1845 noted in Dr. Simicek's Emigration from Moravia to America, 1855-1918, published in 2016.
