Bio
Mr. Frank Petr, 95, of Ennis died at his home October 28, 2008. He was 95. Frank was born in Ennis on January 17, 1913 to parents Frank W. Petr and Hermina Dostal Petr. He attended Creechville Schools. On April 26, 1958 he married Mary Novy Holy, and they lived in the Creechville Community. He was a member of the US Army and was stationed in the Alectian Islands from 1942-1945. He worked for the Creechville Cotton Gin and farmed until 2007 when he retired. He was a member of the VFW; SPJST #135; the American Legion; and the WFLA #402. He is survived by one sister Libbie Pavelka of Ennis; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great-great neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary on May 28, 1999. His parents, Frank and Hermina; brothers Bill, Charlie, Emil and Edwin; sisters Annie Marek, Mary Mancell, Flossie Vita and Erma Toupal. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 6:30-8:30 in Keever's Chapel, and services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 10AM in Keever's Chapel. Interment will be in Crisp Cemetery under direction of JE Keever Mortuary.
