Died at age 82. Wilna was a widow. Wilna shares a headstone with her husband, Loyd Maurice. Parents: Johnnie Lewellen 'Al' Wiggins. Lena Mae Reed. Johnnie and Lena married March 22, 1925 in Ellis, Texas. Married Loyd Maurice Boone December 10, 1949 in Maypearl, Ellis, Texas. OBITUARY: Wilna Sue "Mawmaw" Boone, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. Wilna was born on November 3, 1933, to the late Johnny Lewellen "Al" Wiggins and Lena Mae Reed in Maypearl, Texas. She graduated valedictorian from Maypearl High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Lloyd Maurice "Birddog" Boone, on December 10, 1949, in her hometown of Maypearl. They were happily married for 48 years until his death on December 21, 1996. Wilna joined Texas Instruments in 1960, in Dallas, Texas, where she was a faithful employee for 31 years. While there, she proudly worked as one of the company's first female supervisors. Wilna spent her life serving her church and community. She was a life-long member of the Maypearl Church of Christ. She joined the Maypearl Cemetery Association in 1985, where she served as treasurer and served on Maypearl's City Zoning Committee. Wilna was also instrumental in setting up Maypearl's Veteran's Memorial. She was honored with her love and devotion to her community when she was named Maypearl's Citizen of the Year in 2008. Wilna also served on the Ellis County Appraisal Review Board from 1998-2003; serving as secretary from 1999-2003. Wilna was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, two brothers, Woodrow and Sydney Wiggins and sister, Doris Wiggins Hargrove. Wilna is survived by her older sister Margie Wiggins Collings; younger brother Ronald Dean Wiggins and wife, Gloria; daughter Peggy "Diane" White and husband, Jimmy; son Roy Lynn Boone and wife, Kathy; five grandchildren: Johnny Lloyd White and wife, Stacey; Peggy White Jefferson and husband, Tony; James Lynn White and wife, April; Carly Boone Mora and husband, James; Allie Boone Hale and husband, Will; five great-grandchildren: Andrew Eubank, Garren White, Darhyl Eubank, Brooks White and Blake White; numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Visitation is Sunday, December 13, from 6:00-8:00 at Boze-Mitchell- McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Services will be held on Monday, December 14, at 2:00 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel with Minister Ronnie Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maypearl Church of Christ, Maypearl Cemetery Association, or to the Boone Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Cowboy Bank in Maypearl, Texas.
