OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, Friday, May 5, 1905, page 5. DIED - TISCHLER - At her home on Mill street, in the Second ward, of this city, April 28, 1905, of old age, Mrs. Regina Tischler, aged 81 years, 3 months and 27 days. Regina Kohler was born in Bavaria, Jan. 1, 1824, she came to the United States, settling with her parents at Fredonia, Ozaukee county. In 1849 she was united in marriage to Michael Tischler, who died about eight years ago. They located in this city in 1865, where they resided until the time of their death. Of nine children born to her, four survive. They are: Jos. Tischler, of Texas; Mike Tischler of the town of Westford; Mrs. Joe Deniger of Watertown, S.D., and Egid Tischler of the town of Westford. The funeral was held from St. Peter's church, Monday, Rev. N. M. Zimmer officiating. Burial in St. Peter's cemetery. -- In the social column of the same Argus issue was written: "Among those from abroad in attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Regina Tischler, Monday, were: Mrs. Joe Deniger of Watertown, S.D., Mrs. Frances Knoblock, of Monico, Wis., Mrs. Theresa Frenzel, of St. Paul, Mrs. Schutz and Chas. Deniger, of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Kohler, of Fredonia."
