Died at age 68. Newton was married. Newton enlisted in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War 1861-1865. Newton served four years. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. Date of OBITUARY published in newspaper: February 21, 1911. OBITUARY place: Waxahachie, Texas. OBITUARY: Mr. Newton Wilemon, aged 68 years, died last Sunday morning at his home near Maypearl, after a lingering illness of several months. The remains were interred in the Maypearl cemetery Monday afternoon. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death. Mr. Wilemon was born in Blount county, Alabama, and moved to Ellis county, Texas, in 1874, where he had since resided. At the age of 18 years he enlisted in the Confederate army and served four years. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist church.
