Brown & Mary (Powell) Brown Gertrude (Brown) Derden Jun 18, 1887 - Aug 7, 1926 EMHOUSE RESIDENT DIED SATURDAY AND BURIED ON SUNDAY Special to the Sun. Emhouse, Texas, Aug. 9.—Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist church for Mrs. Arch Derden, who died Saturday at 11:45 a.m. Death came after many months' illness, during which time Mrs. Derden was confined to her bed almost constantly. Rev. W. H. Day of Rice conducted the funeral service and spoke many words of comfort to the bereaved ones. Mrs. Derden had lived in this community many years both before and since her marriage to Mr. Derden. She is survived by her husband and three children, two sons, Charlie and Henry, and one daughter, Mrs. Irma Pritchett. Also one sister, Mrs. Etta Lundy of Bazette, and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the Pattison cemetery. The Corsicana Daily Sun - Monday, August 9, 1926
