PALESTINE - Services for J.B. Choate Jr., 82, Palestine, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Charles McShan officiating. Burial will be in Neches Cemetery under direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home, Palestine. Mr. Choate died Jan. 10, 2009, in a Palestine hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Coleman. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, La Marcelle Lanier Choate; son, Gary W. Choate; daughter, Carmen N. Choate; and sisters, Ila Bea Bailey, and Janell Patterson.
