------------------------- Printed in the Houston Times Post dated August 26 1987 Mrs. Olline Alford Lawson, age 59, of Columbus, died Friday, August 21 at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center in Columbus, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 23 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point. Burial was in McCondy Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Max Johnson officiating. The daughter of the late Watt W Alford and the late Elmer Ollive Berry, she was born in Houston and had lived in Columbus since 1958. She was a retired secretary after 24 years service to Oxidental, Kema-Nord Hooker Chemical Company in Columbus. She was a member of Columbus Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Hugh Carlton Lawson of Columbus; three daughters, Mrs. Ginger Kay Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas and Ms. Carla L Barber and Mrs. Lindy L Pennington of Columbus; one son, Jerry C Lawson of Acworth, Georgia; three sisters, Mrs. W K Kimberley of West Point, Mrs. Virginia Bray of Columbus and Mrs. Dan Allen of Houston; two brothers, Curtis Alford of Columbus and J W Alford of Camarillo, California and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Myra Williams, James "Red" Callahan, Marion Fulgham, Tim Allen, Steve Finn and Eddie Pennington. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point was in charge of arrangements. -------------------------
