From The Palmer Journal, Thursday, August 1, 1968, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Rites Were Tuesday for Pressley Foster - Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at Solt and Byers Funeral Home in Central City for Pressley Foster of Archer. Mr. Foster, 83, passed away late Saturday night in a Grand Island hospital following an illness of several weeks. Roger Kronholm, minister of Zion United Methodist church at Archer officiated. Burial was in the Central City Cemetery. Pressley Foster was born December 20, 1884 on a farm near Palmer to John and Clara Foster. He married Martha Zamzow at Archer February 28, 1912. The Foster family moved to Grant in 1920 and farmed there for 39 years. In 1959 they retired and moved to Archer. He is survived by his widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jean Brown of Denver, and Mrs. Rundall Peterson of Alma, 2 sons, Vincent of Grant and Rex of Brandon and 6 grandchildren.
