Rock Springs Daily Rocket-Miner, May 13, 1978 JOSEPH FEITH SR. Funeral services for Joseph Francis Feith Sr., 85, Rock Springs, were conducted Friday, May 12, at the Vase Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Butler of the SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church officiating. Military graveside services were conducted by the American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24 with burial in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Ben Schultz, Lt. Gary Howard, Ed Kessner, Harold Brown, Tony Pivic and Tom Horn. Mr. Feith died Monday, May 8, at the University of Utah Medical Center where he had been a patient for one week. He had been in ill health for the past 18 months. He was born March 3, 1893, at Rippey, Iowa, the son of the late Michael and Rose Plein Feith and attended school at Green County, Iowa. Mr. Feith was a veteran of World War I having served with the United States Army. He married Annie Brown at Angus, Iowa on Dec. 29, 1930 and came to Rock Springs to make his home in 1929. Mr. Feith was a retired coal miner. Survivors include his wife, Annie of Rock Springs; a son, Joseph F. Feith Jr. of Rock Springs, and a son, Morris of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, Michael of Boone, Iowa; a sister, Katherine Grier of Escondido, Calif.; a granddaughter, Lisa Ann Feith of Salt Lake City, Utah and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rosemary, who died in infancy and a grandson, Joseph Michael Feith. He was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and the American Legion Archie Hay Post No. 24, and the United Mine Workers of America.
