Eliza Ann Gobble Spurgeon was the first wife of Joseph Spurgeon. They were married 18 Jan 1871 in Wayne Co., TN. Eliza and Joseph were the parents of six children, all born in Lawrence Co., TN. Their children were: Nancy Ann, Rufus, Joseph Wilson, John, Charlie M., and James Franklin.
