The Columbus Telegram newspaper, Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska, USA. Friday, June 29, 1973, page 21, column 3. FIEDLER—Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Fiedler, 74, of David City, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Knott Funeral Home, David City with the Rev. Richard Dinsdale officiating. The body will lie in state at the funeral home 3-9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the David City Cemetery. Mrs. Fiedler who died June 27 at her home, was the daughter of Mike and Mary Klement Berniklau and was born June 7, 1899 in Valparaiso. She was married to Paul Fiedler Nov. 26, 1918 in Wahoo. Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Patocka and Mrs. Mamie Patocka, both of David City, and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Agnes in infancy and Emma.
