Mary Ruth Cupps, 85, of Livingston, passed away Saturday, Feburary 16,2008 at Livingston Memorial Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Feburary 20,2008 at Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jessie Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in Sumpter Cemetery near Woodlake, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, at Pace Funeral Home. Mrs. Cupps was born on December 7,1922 to A.B. and Amanda Williams. She married Tom M. Cupps on November 10,1951 in Pasadena. She was a member of Blanchard Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Tom M. Cupps and brothers; Turner, Morris A.B., Gwinn and Glenn Williams. Survivors include her Daughter Jamie Ruth Holmes of Livingston; Son, Carroll Tom Cupps of Jewett; brother Bill Williams and wife Mary Lou of Pasadena. Sister-in-law; Gwendolyn Williams, widow of Morris A.B. Williams of Cushing, Texas. Three grandchildren, Thomas D. Holmes, Denise D. Holmes and Dianne Cupps; and one great-grandchild, T.J. Earnhardt-Holmes. A host of nieces and newphews. Special thanks to friends, Pat and Buddy Hall and Rosa Davalos.
