Bio

Sanders, Lillian Funeral services for Lillian Sanders, 77, Tyler, were held at 2 p.m. Oct.12 in the Eubank Chapel in Canton with Rev. Louie Barron officiating. Interment was in the Highland Cemetery in Van Zandt County under direction of the Eubank Funeral Home of Canton. Mrs. Sanders was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Van Zandt County to William Leaton and Odis Chaney Simpson, and died Oct. 10, 1995, in Tyler after a short illness. Shegrew up in Van Zandt County, lived in Kilgore, and spent the last nine years living in Tyler. Her husband Johnny H. Jones preceded her in death in 1962. She is survived by two sons, Billy Neal Jones of Ben Wheeler and Haskell Dean Helms of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews,including Verline Bates and Horace Bates.
