Watson ARMA --- Viola A. Watson, 86, of Arma, formerly of Cherokee, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 1994, at Mount Carmel Medical Center. Mrs. Watson had been in ill health for one month. She was born April 24, 1908, in Arroll, Mo., the daughter of Frederic and Mary (Spencer) Funkey. She married Clarence T. Watson in 1924 and was a homemaker, living in Cherokee for many years. Mrs. watson lives in area(s) including Wichita, Snohomish, Wash., and Arma for the past 11 years. She was a member of Arma Eastern Star Chapter No. 379, Cherokee Eastern Star Chapter No. 130, S.N.P.J. Lodge No. 225 at Camp 50 and Arma Ladies Eagles Auxiliary Aerie No. 2014. She was an Eastern Star member for 50 years. Survivors include one son, Clarence "Jarbo" Watson of Cherokee; one daughter, Luella Zibert of Camp 50; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 1994, at Bedene Funeral Home in Arma with the Rev. Chris Conklin of Arma United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Cemetery, and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the bedene Chapel in Arma. Eastern Star services will (be) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Bedene Chapel, and S.N.P.J. Lodge No. 225 will conduct graveside services. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at bedebe Chapel, and friends may also call Jarbo Watson in Cherokee or Luella Zibert at Camp 50. Arrangements are under the direction of Bedene Funeral Home, P.O. Box 621, Arma.
