The Dallas Morning News Feb. 9, 1937, Pg. 7 Mrs. Rachel W. Renfro Dies at Dallas Home Mrs. Rachel Watts Renfro, 92, resident of Dallas thirty years, died Monday at her home, 128 Center. Born in Tennessee, Oct. 27, 1844, Mrs. Renfro came to Texas with her parents when a child, the family settling in McKinney. She was the wife of the late George Watts, founder of the Masonic lodge at McKinney, and the late C. W. Renfro. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. M.E. Gaines, Mrs. J.W. Wilkins, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Laura Baskett, Glendale, Calif.; two sons, Gene Renfro, Portland, Ore., and Cliff Renfro, Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Dallas. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Weiland Funeral Home with Dr. Wallace Bassett, pastor of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKinney.
