Bio
Dates of birth and death vary on the TXDC from those in cemetery records and/or on the marker as seen in photo. Believe the birth date on his DC was incorrectly given by informant because on his WWI Draft Regt he gives his own birth date as Dec. 1, 1882. This date also most closely corresponds to the d.o.b. shown in census as well. ------------------------------------------------ Married twice(?) Per comment: yes he was married twice. In the 1910 Hopkins, Texas Census, William's wife's name was Lula [Perry] age 26. There were 5 children listed: Taylor age 9, Nancy age 8, Bourgard age 6, Evans Earlin age 2 and Laura age 0. (On Evans and Laura [Allen] death certificates it lists their parents as William Reppond and Lula Perry). In the 1920 Angelina, Texas Census William's wife was Sarah [Green]. William was 37 and Sarah was 15. There are 4 children listed that were his and Lula's: Taylor age 19, Boura (Bourgard) age 16, Evans age 13 and Laura age 9. In the 1930 Angelina, Texas Census William's wife was still Sarah age 25 and they had 3 children together: Thomas Garland age 8, Artemous age 8 and William Rufus age 3. (On Thomas and Williams Social Security Claims it lists parents as William Thomas and Sarah M. Green). They also had a daughter Clovis (1933-1987) married name Perkins. Buried at Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas with her husband, her brothers Thomas Garland, William Rufus and their spouses. [info courtesy Peck-Millay #48588974]
