Vensel J Charba: Vensel J. Charba, 76, of 7360 Mimosa Lane, a retired shop foreman for Metzger Dairies, died here Thursday. He was a native of Czechoslovakia and came to the United States and Dallas in 1906. He became a U.S. citizen in 1942. He worked for Metzger Dairies 30 years until his 1965 retirement and has also worked as a cabinet maker for Standard Showcase Co. 25 years. He was a charter council member of Buckner Masonic Lodge and had been a member of SPJST Lodge 130 (a Czech society) for 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Laurel Land Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Charba, Mesquite; daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Peabody, Dallas, Mrs. Dorothy Pullen, Mesquite; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services 11 a.m. Saturday, Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, Rev. E. C. Briggs officiating with Bennie Jerma, assisting. Graveside services at Laurel Land Memorial Park will be conducted by the R. C. Buckner Lodge No. 1176. Pallbearers: Masons.
