Otylie Angelina Griffin , 94, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Sunday, December 21, 2008, in Norman, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2008, at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2008, at the Community Church of the Nazarene in Norman with Reverends Brent Hardesty and David Poteet officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris, Dale, Don and Troy Griffin, David Michael and Jon Rogers. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Mrs. Griffin was born June 16, 1914, in Willow, Oklahoma, to Richard Isidore and Adolphine (Gurecky) Strouhal. She married William J. Griffin on October 24, 1931, in Calumet, Oklahoma. She moved to Norman in 1973, from Houston, Texas. Mrs. Griffin was very involved in her church and Sunday School, especially in ministries for small children. She was greatly loved by her family. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William; sisters, Emily Knott and Mary Jane O'Nan. Survivors include two sons, Cliff Griffin of Tyler, TX and Paul G. Griffin of Noble, OK; sister, Lydia Webb of Norman; two brothers, A. C. Strouhal of Noble, OK and R. C. Strouhal, of Vancouver, WA; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Adult Sunday School Class at the Norman Community Church of the Nazarene, 1801 N. Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
