Thanks to contributor #46809294 Patty Luft, 72, the daughter of Paul and Mable (Currey) Crawford was born Sept. 3, 1924, at Haymarket, Iowa. She died June 22 at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, Superior. Raised in the Central City area, she graduated from Central City High School with the Class of 1943. After high school, she worked at the Central City Hospital and also the courthouse. After moving to North Platte, she found employment at City Hall and 17 years as a secretary for Musselmans. Retiring in 1984, she returned to Central City. In 1990, she moved to Edgar to be near her daughter and family. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church, Central City, and the Arbor Chapter of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Survivors include her daughter,Mrs. Norman (Paula) Brittain, Nelson; a sister, Jessie Eoff, Estes Park, Colo; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Edgar. Pastor Harold Fox will officiate. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Central City Cemetery.
